Upgrading the desktop version of Linux Kubuntu

Full update of the desktop version of the Linux distribution Kubuntu

We update the package versions on the current system to the latest:

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

We launch the graphical utility to switch to another version of the distribution kit:

pkexec do-release-upgrade -m desktop -f DistUpgradeViewKDE

My transition on Kubuntu distribution from 21.04 to 21.10 took about half an hour and was successful.
